One of the advantages of Alurad is the variety of connection options available to suit individual needs. Below gives a description of options.
Tip- run your central heating pipes from your wall and into a HB connection for the “floating” radiator effect.
Standard Connection (Klas, Mistral, Aliza, Atlantis, Kombi)This is a standard connection for the Klas, Mistral, Aliza, Atlantis and Kombi models. The Direction plug must be placed into the hot water inlet side of the radiator- the diagram below shows the hot water inlet on the left side, but either side can be choosen on installation. Howevr, the direction plug must be inserted in the KOMBI model at manufacture and therefore hot water entry for the KOMBI must be indicated at order.
Top-Bottom Connection
This type of connection is possible for Klas, Meltem, Mistral, Aliza, Atlantis and Kombi models. Hot water inlet must be at the top. Right or Left side options available. No additonal cost. Custom Order Only.
Top-Bottom Opposite SidesThis type of connection is possible for Klas, Meltem, Mistral, Aliza, Atlantis and Kombi models. Hot water inlet must be at the top. Right or Left side options available. No additonal cost. Custom Order Only.
HB ConnectionThis type of connection is possible for Klas, Meltem, Mistral, Aliza, and Atlantis models. The two pipes enter the bottom of the radiator and the direction plug is fixed in manufacturing. The outer pipe must always be used for hot water entry. Left or right side options available. NOTE: If the inner pipe is used for hot water entry, only the first 4 segments of the radiator will heat up. Cost is 5% extra. Custom Order Only.
Integrated Valve ConnectionAvailable on the Mistral and Atlantis models only. The two pipes enter the bottom of the radiator and a thermostatic valve is integrated at the factory near the top of the radiator. The connection diameters are ½ inch. Left or right side options available. This connection can be on the left or right side of the radiator. NOTE: If the inner pipe is used for hot water entry, only the first 4 segments of the radiator will heat up. Cost is €50 extra per radiator. Custom Order Only.
Inserted Valve ConnectionThis type of connection is possible for Klas, Meltem, Mistral, Aliza, and Atlantis models. The two pipes enter the bottom of the radiator and on installation a thermostatic valve can be installed at the top of the radiator for easy accessibility. The connection diameters are ½ inch. Left or right side options available. NOTE: The thermostatic valve head must always be installed on the same side as the HB connection pipes. If the inner pipe is used for hot water entry, only the first 4 segments of the radiator will heat up. Cost is €40 extra per radiator. Custom Order Only.
Kemer Connection (For Kemer Model Only)Kemer model allows for only bottom flow and return. Adjustable to left or right side.
Alurad B-Line Connection TypesIn Elite, Eris, Arkadia, Bali and Zues models connections are bottom flow and return. Adjustable to left or right side.
